What I am not clear on:ġ: Will KORE host/control VSTi's other than NI's ? A tech told me "yes" - but he didn't sound too confident or knowledgable.Ģ: Will all the plugins inside of core have to run on one single CPU core, or on one process? Note: I have not done this myself yet, as I just can't find the time to get there, but I have done the research. I believe you can purchase just the KORE application, without the external, dedicated KORE-controller. This will host as many VSTi's as you want, and is specifically designed to create multi-instrument sound banks that can be changed via external midi. If you need to run amps simulators, vocal f/x etc then of course you need a full DAW. "multis in Kontakt" won't do what you need, since obviously it's only for Kontact, and offers no midi-filtering or quick "patch" changes.įorte is GREAT (very fast & efficient) as long as you are ONLY using your pc as a sound generator, i.e. ![]()
